Week 1 · five days
Instructor-led sessions cover fundamentals, fibers and cables, components, installation practices, testing, troubleshooting, and standards.

Week 2 · three days
Supervised lab days focus on cable preparation, fusion splicing, fiber management, connector installation, OLTS testing, and OTDR troubleshooting.

FOA CFOT certification pathway
Course EGI-FOT 101 combines 25 hours of live online theory with 19 hours of supervised laboratory work, course review, and the official FOA CFOT certification examination. The schedule uses daily morning and afternoon time blocks: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Students study fiber fundamentals, cable construction, components, installation practices, testing, troubleshooting, safety, documentation, and standards before completing in-person lab work in cable preparation, fusion splicing, connector installation, OLTS testing, OTDR testing, and final documentation.
